November 1-2, 2017 - CAREER DAY. The Executive Committee of KWAC announced that Career Day will be held this year on November 1-2. This is the ninth anniversary of the event, in which large numbers of King’s alumni and friends participate. Each year, approximately 52 current King’s College students travel to Washington, are hosted overnight by alumni living in the Washington area, and participate in a full day of career-oriented programing before being bussed back to campus.
The event will kick off this year on the evening of Wednesday, November 1, with a reception at the offices of Jim O’Hara ’58 at Jones Day, 300 New Jersey Avenue, NW. Students will meet their alumni hosts at the reception, and there will be a keynote speaker to be announced. The following day, Thursday, November 2, the students will report to the offices of Cathy Serafin ’83 at Lowenstein Sandler, 2200 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW at 8:00 a.m. for breakfast, and then a day of programing during which they receive valuable information about potential career opportunities.
It's never too early to volunteer to host students or to otherwise participate in the event. Please contact Charlene Brojakowski for more information at (570) 208-5879 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
